Alpha 1 Patch 6

Godot 4.4.1 and bugfixes.

Biggest change on this patch - we've upgraded to Godot 4.4.1! Expect some bugs as we work that out.

Also new in this patch, the forum integration is now post-by-post, allowing any feedback or bugs to be easier to manage. You can comment right on the post or head to the forum directly.

Fixes and improvements in this patch :

  • Fixed the landing zone for the Alpha Station, should be easier to land now.
  • Upgraded to Godot 4.4.1 with double precision. This wasn't quite as huge as the move from 4.0 to 4.2.2, but several small things broke. I'll try to issue small fixes as needed for them.
  • Improved the ship chooser experience on Steam Deck.
  • Fixed the issue with the "esc" key exiting all the way back to the main menu.

Known Bugs:

  • Brand new ship chooser, could have some bugs that need fixing!
  • Collision is still a bit off for the brand new ship.
  • Handling for the new ship is a little too twitchy.
